Rodney Harrison voted into Patriots Hall of Fame

Retired safety Rodney Harrison will be a New England Patriots Hall of Famer. The team announced Monday that fans voted him to be the 29th inductee. Harrison and former offensive tackle Leon Gray will both be inducted this year. Gray was selected for induction by a 10-person senior selection committee in April.

Harrison was a finalist with defensive end Richard Seymour and linebacker Mike Vrabel, now the Tennessee Titans head coach.

After nine seasons with the then San Diego Chargers, Harrison joined the Patriots for his final six seasons when he won two Super Bowl titles. He logged two interceptions in the Patriots’ Super Bowl XXXIX win over the Philadelphia Eagles to cap the 2004 season. During his career, he was a two-time Pro Bowler and a two-time first-team All-Pro. In his first two seasons with the Patriots, he led the team in tackles with 126 in 2003 and 138 in 2004.

He finished his career with 1,197 tackles, 95 pass deflections, 34 interceptions and 15 forced fumbles.
