Rodney Harrison says Aaron Donald told him he may retire if Rams win Super Bowl

Aaron Donald has accomplished everything a defensive player could possibly hope to in the NFL. He’s a three-time Defensive Player of the Year, a seven-time All-Pro and an eight time Pro Bowler who’s also led the NFL in sacks and set the record for the most sacks in a season by a defensive tackle.

The only thing missing is a Super Bowl ring, and according to Rodney Harrison, Donald could walk away from the game if he wins one tonight against the Bengals.

You read that right: Harrison said Donald told him that if the Rams win the Super Bowl, he might just retire.

“He also told me this: If he wins a Super Bowl, there’s a strong possibility that he could walk away from the game and retire,” Harrison said on NBC’s pregame show.

That’s quite the bit of information to drop an hour before kickoff of Super Bowl LVI. With Harrison’s shocking claim, Donald will undoubtedly be asked about the possibility of retiring if the Rams end up winning tonight.
