Rod Stewart to play Dublin's 3Arena as singer announces two Irish gigs

Rock and pop legend Rod Stewart is set to arrive in Dublin to perform at the 3Arena next year as he announces two Irish shows.

The singer-songwriter will perform in Dublin's 3Arena on November 18 2022 and will then head up to Belfast for a show at the SSE Arena on December 20 2022.

Tickets for the shows will go on sale this upcoming Monday, November 15.

The 76-year-old performer recently announced the release of his new studio album The Tears of Hercules which will feature twelve new songs, nine of which have been penned by Stewart himself. The singer shared a snippet of what fans can expect when he tweeted a clip from the music video for his new single I Can't Imagine.

The song, as Stewart explains, is dedicated to Special Constable Penelope Lancaster Stewart, his wife.

Stewart debuted the song along with an upbeat feel-good video on Friday, with lyrics like “I can’t imagine waking with anybody else but you”.

The Tears of Hercules will be the performer's 31st studio album and the fourth with original material since 2013.

Rod Stewart famously played Dublin's RDS Arena in 1995, where fans at the time were treated to live performances of classics like Do Ya Think I'm Sexy?, Maggie Mayr, and The Motown Song.
