Rod Stewart swears live at AMAs as children make surprise joint appearance

Rod Stewart swore live on stage at the American Music Awards as his children joined him on stage in a surprise joint appearance on Monday night (26 May).

The 80-year-old singer was honoured with a Lifetime Achievement Award, presented by his five eldest children Kimberly Stewart, 45, Sean Stewart, 44, Ruby Stewart, 37, Renee Stewart, 32, and Liam McAlister Stewart, 30.

"I'm absolutely flabbergasted. I didn't know they were here - my children," Rod said on stage.

"I'm so f***ing overwhelmed that you are here," he told his family.

The musician performed "Forever Young" after being presented with the trophy.
