Rod Stewart song by Northern Ireland Hospice staff brings terminally ill father to tears

A Rod Stewart super fan from Dunmurry has been brought to tears after being serenaded by NI Hospice nurses.

Gary King, 41, who is terminally ill, wiped the tears from his face as he listened on to the Northern Ireland Hospice Ukulele Band sing a Stewart classic 'The First Cut Is The Deepest.'

A spokesperson for Northern Ireland Hospice told Belfast Live that they would love nothing more but for Sir Rod Stewart to visit the Hospice before his SSE Arena gig on Monday 2 December.

She said: "Young dad Gary is sadly terminally ill. How great would it be if Sir Rod Stewart could visit Gary at NI Hospice?"
