Rod Stewart shares incredible 70s leopard print throwback snap and fans are going wild

Rod Stewart delighted fans by sharing throwback snaps of him performing in a leopard print suit.

The Maggie May singer, 77, noted he would be taking wardrobe inspiration for his upcoming shows from the selected 70s snaps. Sharing a montage of photos on Instagram, Rod penned: "Wardrobe inspiration for my three shows At Caesar’s Colosseum this week… Throwing back to September 1971 with the Faces at the Oval cricket ground. Check out my vast collection of animal prints from the early years to now on my website timeline."

Fans absolutely loved the singer's throwback collage and took to the comments. One said: "Legendary. I wasn’t born but my upbringing made me an automatic fan! go rod!!," meanwhile another said: "1971! This was the year I saw Rod for the first time! Rod & The Faces. My father took me - I was 12! I still have the ticket stub!"

"Awwww, '71, when I first discovered your amazing music and talent," a third penned, and someone else agreed: "You haven’t change a bit. Still the best"

This comes after the Do Ya Think I'm Sexy singer was pictured enjoying some quality time with his son Sean Stewart in LA, as the two were papped leaving a steak house. The pair were pictured multiple times as they exited the steak restaurant, both of the men looking smart in suit jackets and shirts.

Rod went for a more glam rock look as he accessorised a mint green blazer with a large buckled shirt and sparkly designer shoes. Sean, who is also a singer/songwriter, helped to protect his father from the huge crowd, while wearing a navy suit with a crisp white shirt underneath.

The pair looked stunned as they navigated their way to the car, trying to avoid getting dazed by all the flashing cameras and screaming fans, with Sir Rod clutching onto his pal's arm for support. During the chaos, one fan managed to get close enough to the singer to grab a selfie.

Holding up his phone to take the picture, Rod leans in resembling a dear in the headlights for the fan's memento.
