Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster gears up for Celebrity Masterchef debut with one of rockers famous songs

Rod Stewart's wife Penny Lancaster got ready for her debut on Celebrity Masterchef with one of her rocker husband's songs.

Loose Women presenter Penny Lancaster couldn't wait to take part in the BBC cooking competition and decided to get herself and fans in the mood by playing one of singing legend Rod's famous songs.

Penny, who is also a special police constable, recently admitted she found it 'nerve-racking' cooking food for her Rod and their family in lockdown when their personal chef was unable to cook for them.

However, the former model can't wait to show off her culinary skills this evening and has been trying out various recipes at home, including a recent breakfast dish she served up to the family.

On her Instagram, Penny decided to play the lyrics to the song 'Tonights The Night (Gonna Be Alright)' as she revealed she will be on telly this Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 9pm for the BBC One show.

Penny told fans: "It’s finally upon us. I’m just as nervous now as I was then. Tonight’s The Night, 9pm on BBC1."

An advert for the show shows Penny grimacing and then cheering as she cooks alongside fellow contestants Megan McKenna, Melanie Sykes, Patrick Grant and Nabil Abdulrashid to take on the Under the Cloche challenge.

They also have to make a popular street food dish from Vietnam and cook a dinner party meal.
