Sir Rod Stewart has thanked fans in a new social media post as he wishes for a 'happier and healthier' new year.
The 76-year-old rockstar posed poolside at his luxurious Californian mansion as he sipped on a cup of tea.
Addressing his Instagram followers, Rod wrote: “Thanks to my million followers. Here’s to a happier and healthier New Year #million”.
In the picture, Rod can be seen wearing a relaxed white shirt and shorts combo with matching white flip-flops as he soaks in the California sunshine.
Rod's fans all over the world took to the comments to wish their favourite musician a happy new year for when it comes.
One wrote: "Happy new Year to you and your family and friends. With all my love from Portugal"
Another said: "Lucky Rod. We’re freezing here in Canada!"

"Good evening. Now that's the way to relax. Hope you and your beautiful family had a lovely Christmas? . And all the best for the New year. Bless," someone else penned.
Another fan replied: "Happy New Year, greetings from Poland"
"Loving your tea pot….can’t beat a nice cuppa," one more commented.
Rod spent Christmas with his wife Penny Lancaster and their extended family as they celebrated the holidays together.
The family spent the holidays all together after Rod and his son, Sean Stewart, pleaded guilty earlier this month to battery in an assault case.
The altercation took place at an exclusive Florida hotel on New Years Eve in 2019.
