Andy Gray called on Celtic superfan Sir Rod Stewart 's microphone to be cut off as the legendary crooner delivered a playful pop at the expense of the Ibrox side.
The rock and roll star was a guest on the latest edition of the former Rangers star's show alongside Richard Keys and as the 75-year-old was departing he burst into song as he chanted 'Bye Bye Rangers'.
And Gray, who remains a big fan of the Ibrox side, playfully told those in charge at beINsports to take action and silence Celtic fan Sir Rod as he toasted his side's ninth consecutive Premiership title.
He said: "Get off, get him off, cut him off, cut him off."
Stewart, a Hotline regular, has forged a second career - outwith the music business - as a professional wind-up merchant as he continually trolls Rangers and their supporters
The banter between the pair came after Gray revealed the last time they had a face to face interaction with the singer and the prediction he made at the time.
The ex-Rangers star added: "We have here a memento of the last occasion I saw you.
"When you did your gig in Abu Dhabi Rod, Richard and I came to see you, you gave me this ball with a little chuckle and a mischievous grin on your face. To Andy, 6 in a row.
"I said yes Mr Stewart, but don't think that ball is ever going to say nine in a row."
Stewart quickly responded: "You should make it nine in a row and send it back to me!"
