A trainee nurse struck down by Covid-19 has returned to the wards after her recovery was helped by Sir Rod Stewart.
Natasha Jenkins, 36, was gifted £5000 by the Scots rocker after she was left on a ventilator fighting for her life half-way through her studies.
But a video of her heartwarming reunion with her family was shared online – and spotted by rocker Rod who sent the generous cheque.
The singer wrote: “A small gift to help you through the rough times.”
Eight months later, Natasha has been able to return to her dream job in Barry, south Wales.
She said: “My lungs are a bit distended but it’s to be expected.
"I was gobsmacked with the cheque. I’ve joined a gym which is helping me physically and mentally.”
