Rod Stewart has admitted that despite looking 'perplexed' in the portrait he received from pal Ronnie Wood, he's over the moon with it.
The Maggie May singer was gifted the artwork of himself from the Rolling Stones legend, who painted it himself.
The 76-year-old shared the gift on Instagram, sitting on a grand staircase beside the portrait while clutching a trombone.
Writing to his one million Instagram followers, Rod said: "Ronnie's portrait of me for my Christmas present ...looking perplexed but at ease with life . Thanks mate. I'm also learning to play trombone for no apparent reason.. Sir Rod."
Rod's fans took to the comments on the post to share their opinions.
One wrote: "Beautiful!! Ronny is so talented!"
Another added: "Absolutely stunning portrait."
While one said: "Magnificent-like all of Ronnie’s works of art! What a sentimental gift just lovely."
While another commented: "Interesting thoughtful expression on the painting's face... hair down pat.. you handsomer 'in person'."
Ronnie, known for his long career in the Rolling Stones, is also an artist.
His pieces have been exhibited across the world, with permanent placement in London’s Drury Lane Theatre.
Rod and Ronnie have been good pals for more than 50 years and have performed together on stage many times.
