Rod Stewart combines Celtic touch with coronavirus precautions as rockstar keeps the flame alive

Celtic-daft Rod Stewart is taking precautions against the coronavirus - but still showing his love for his favourite team.

The rock star is 75 and therefore in the at-risk category for COVID-19, the deadly virus that is sweeping the globe.

It's impact means Celtic won't be playing for the foreseeable future but Rod is keeping the flame alive.

The singer was spotted out for breakfast in the Los Angeles neighbourhood of Bel Air, sporting a Hoops hoodie.

The former Faces singer also wore green shoes, green and white socks - and white gloves to minimise the risk of infection, ensuring he left no fresh prints in Bel Air.

Rod is a regular fixture at Celtic games and was seen partying with fans in Rome ahead of the Europa League win over Lazio.

He caused controversy with a section of the support in December though when he congratulated Boris Johnson on his election victory.

That led to a rude response from the Green Brigade, who unveiled a banner at Celtic Park saying the singer was not welcome.
