Rod Stewart at Ashton Gate: What you can and can't take in to the gig

The first of a series of huge gigs at Ashton Gate is taking place tonight (May 22), with legend Rod Stewart taking to the stage.

The rock legend is kicking off his tour in Bristol before shows at seven other stadiums and outdoor venues across England and Scotland.

Rod Stewart is one of the best-selling music artists of all time, having sold over 100 million records worldwide including six consecutive number one albums in the UK.

This will be Rod’s first UK tour in three years following the success of two sold-out tours in 2016 – The UK Hits Stadium Tour and the arena tour From Gasoline Alley to Another Country Hits.

But, what can you take into the gig? There will be strict security in place and some things are not allowed in the venue.

The full list of what you cannot take in

All bags will be searched on entry and any bag larger than A4 will not be permitted.

The following items are prohibited:

  • Glass, cans, bottles or thermos flasks of any kind
  • Flammable liquids and aerosols (including perfume, hairspray etc)
  • Laser pens/pointers
  • Laptops, Ipads, professional cameras/video equipment
  • Food and drink, unless for medicinal purposes
  • Umbrellas, signs, banners, flags, inflatables, selfie sticks
  • Air horns, whistles or other noise making devices
  • Knives or weapons, fireworks, confetti, glitter bombs or sprays

Ashton Gate Stadium operates a ‘Challenge 25’ initiative so ensure you bring valid photo ID.

Everyone aged 16 and under must be accompanied by an adult.
