San Diego State has a Week 3 road game against New Mexico State which is just a fine and non-descript out of conference game.
Well, that all changed at Mountain West media days when former New Mexico alum and head coach Rocky Long announced that his San Diego State Aztecs will not be staying in Las Cruces, New Mexico, for this game.
That is some serious 😎😎😎 that Long is throwing his way toward his former in-state rival when he was with the New Mexico football program.
The distance between El Paso to Las Cruces is not exactly a walk in the park, so making this move is some serious trash talk as it is around an hour drive.
This pettiness is what we need in college football. Bickering over old rivals and stirring things up.
