Rockstar North on the hunt for a 'game tester' in Edinburgh - could it be you?

Did you grow up playing the likes of Grand Theft Auto, Red Dead Redemption, or The Warrior? We may just have the dream job for you.

If you'd have asked your teenage self what the best job in the world was, for many, it would have been to play these games all day long - and now you can.

Rockstar North are on the hunt for a "game tester" to join their growing team in Edinburgh, whose developers are based at their headquarters on Holyrood Road.

The job description reads: "At Rockstar Games, we create the games we would want to play ourselves.

"Rockstar North is on the lookout for talented Game Testers who are passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated to join our internal QA team.

"This is a permanent position, based out of Rockstar’s unique game development studio in the heart of Edinburgh."

As an official tester, it would be up to you to ensure that the game is up to scratch before it hits the market.

You would need try out the game, report bugs and provide a clear and critical analysis, as well as feedback for developers to improve upon.

In the past, Rockstar jobs have required experience in the industry and a portfolio of work. While this would be preferable, it is not essential for a game tester.

However, you will need to be competent in gaming, express an interest in the industry, have a "good" PC knowledge and a "good" standard of written English .

How to apply?

Candidates must be 18 and above to apply for the position, which will be a full-time fixed term contract.

You can apply via Rockstar's website here.
