DENVER_The Chicago Cubs blew a 5-1 lead Friday night as the Colorado Rockies rallied for four runs in the seventh and eighth innings off relievers Travis Wood and Carl Edwards Jr. and eventually seized a 7-6 win in 11 innings. Ryan Raburn hit an RBI double off Aroldis Chapman and scored on an errant relay throw by Javier Baez. The start of the game was delayed for two hours, 10 minutes because of rain.
Dexter Fowler led off the game with a home run and put the Cubs ahead in the 11th on a bloop single. Addison Russell added a two-run shot in the sixth. Pitcher Kyle Hendricks helped his cause by hitting a single with one out in the third and scoring on a two-out single by Anthony Rizzo.
Hendricks allowed only two hits after the first and retired 10 of the last 11 batters he faced. But the Rockies tied the game on a sacrifice fly by Nolan Arenado off Edwards in the eighth.
