Rockets sideline reporter Michelle Margaux to leave TV broadcasts

Michelle Margaux is leaving her role as the sideline reporter for all home and away Houston Rockets television broadcasts, she announced on Monday via her Instagram page.

Margaux had joined AT&T SportsNet Southwest before the 2018-19 season. The network serves as Houston’s local television partner for NBA games in the preseason, regular season, and through the first round of the postseason.

The sideline reporter role works with play-by-play broadaster Bill Worrell and analysts Matt Bullard and Clyde Drexler on home broadcasts, and with play-by-play broadcaster Craig Ackerman and Bullard on road broadcasts.

Margaux was also the host of the team’s weekly behind-the-scenes show, Rockets All Access, and occasionally served as a studio host and field reporter for Houston Astros baseball telecasts as well.

AT&T SportsNet Southwest has yet to announce a permanent replacement for Margaux’s position. Before Margaux, the role was held by veteran Houston host Bart Enis.

The network’s coverage of Rockets basketball for the 2019-20 season begins with Monday preseason opener at Toyota Center against the Shanghai Sharks, which tips off at 7 p.m. local time in Houston.
