Rockets set a new NBA record for 3-pointers in a game with 27

The Houston Rockets recorded a new NBA record of 27 made three-pointers in a single game Sunday night against the Phoenix Suns.

Houston saw contributors from several key players on-route to this milestone. Eric Gordon chipped in with eight threes (a career high), James Harden had five, P.J. Tucker had four and Danuel House had three.

Gary Clark tied the record with roughly three minutes left in the game and Houston missed the next four before Austin Rivers broke the record with 1:09 remaining.

Houston shot a blistering 47% from three-point range as a team on Sunday in the 149-113 win. The Rockets first set the record in December and nearly broke the record again in Los Angeles Wednesday.

Quite a way to do their final home regular season game. Houston finishes off their season against the Thunder on Tuesday night in Oklahoma City.
