Rockets interested in bringing back former forward Terrence Jones

The Houston Rockets are in a position to contend for an NBA title after acquiring superstar Russell Westbrook to team up with James Harden. It was a move that puts the Rockets squarely in title contention.

The challenge now is to fill out the rest of the roster with players who are ready to help contribute right now. Guys who will do all of the little things to help the Rockets take the next step.

The team did make a curious move earlier in the summer when they signed former No. 1 overall pick Anthony Bennett to a deal. While the Rockets like the makeup of their roster right now, general manager Daryl Morey is never afraid to pull the trigger on another move to improve the roster.

One name to keep an eye on is former starter Terrence Jones.

Jones spent his first four seasons with the Rockets, but was mostly plagued by injuries. Most of his contributions came in the 2014-15 season when Houston made a run to the Western Conference Finals. He averaged 10.2 points and 4.8 rebounds during the postseason starting nine of the 17 games he played in.

After the Rockets, he spent some time with the New Orleans Pelicans and the Milwaukee Bucks before returning to the Rockets in 2018-19. He played two games on a 10-day deal and his contract was not renewed.
