Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni will not coach Tuesday vs. Thunder

Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni will not be with the team Tuesday night on the road against the Thunder, according to Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle.

D’Antoni has been hospitalized since Friday due to an intestinal virus and has missed the past two games for the Rockets. He was attempting to rejoin the Rockets in Oklahoma City but is still being held at the hospital.

Associate head coach Jeff Bzdelik has filled in for D’Antoni and has guided the Rockets to a 2-0 record. The Rockets have posted wins over the New York Knicks and Phoenix Suns.

The Rockets will wrap up the regular season on Tuesday against the Thunder so they figure to have D’Antoni back in time for the start of the postseason on Saturday.

Houston is 1-2 against Oklahoma City this season.
