Rockets even series at 2-2 behind Harden’s 38

It was a nail-biter to finish despite being up at one point by 17, but the Houston Rockets won Game 4 and have now evened their Western Conference Semifinal series against the Golden State Warriors.

It is now a best of three series, and Game 5 is Wednesday night in the Bay Area.

James Harden dropped 38 points (13-29 FG) including shooting 6-17 from beyond the arc in the 112-108 victory.

But it was the play of P.J. Tucker on both ends of the court –he had 17 points, 10 rebounds, two steals and one block — that really sealed the deal for the Rockets.

Eric Gordon also had another phenomenal game, with 20 points and four rebounds. The bench also outplayed the Warriors bench, and the depth that Houston has compared to Golden State is really starting to become apparent.

Despite a great game, again, from Kevin Durant (34 points, seven rebounds, five assists) and a bounce-back game of sorts from Stephen Curry (30 points, four rebounds, eight assists), Golden State couldn’t get it going from beyond the arc, uncharacteristically missed free throws and struggled on the boards.

The Rockets are now on a 12-game home winning streak.
