Rockets at Thunder: Prediction, point spread, odds, over/under, betting picks (Dec. 1)

The Houston Rockets are hope to win their first road game of the 2021-22 season on Wednesday in Oklahoma City, and if you’re looking to do some last-minute betting research, you’re in luck! We’ll give you the latest point spread, money line odds and over/under number, as well as the information you’ll need to make the smartest bet at Tipico Sportsbook.

The game tips off at 7 p.m. Central and can be viewed or streamed via AT&T SportsNet Southwest and NBA League Pass.

No opponent better illustrates Houston’s striking home versus road disparity than the Thunder, who host the Rockets. During two games at Toyota Center, the Rockets are 2-0 while outscoring the Thunder by an average of 23 points per game. But in the one game between the teams at Oklahoma City this season, the Thunder won by 12 points.

That disparity is why the Rockets are a slight underdog heading into Wednesday’s game, even while on a three-game winning streak.

With the calendar turning to December, can Christian Wood, Kevin Porter Jr., and the suddenly surging Rockets finally break through?

Rockets at Thunder notable injuries:

Excluding John Wall, who remains out under a mutual agreement, Houston’s injury report features three players who are listed as out for health reasons: Jalen Green (left hamstring strain), Usman Garuba (right thigh contusion), and DJ Augustin (health and safety protocols).

The Thunder are listing Kenrich Williams as out with a right ankle sprain and Derrick Favors as out due to a non-COVID illness, while Mike Muscala is questionable with right ankle soreness.

Advice and prediction

When the Thunder beat the Rockets two weeks ago, Lu had 34 points on 14-of-22 shooting (63.6%) from the field. In OKC’s two losses to Houston, he’s averaged 7.5 points per game on 31.6% shooting.

For all his talent, Green is only 19 years old with a very slender frame, and defense definitely isn’t a strength early in his NBA career. This seems to be a matchup where the defensive rotations and matchups for Houston against a player such as Dort are easier with Green on the sideline.

Prediction: Rockets 107, Thunder 105
