The Houston Rockets made a big move in acquiring superstar Russell Westbrook from the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Chris Paul as well as making other moves to make sure they’re in the conversation not only for the Western Conference crown, but the entire NBA crown.
After the moves they made in the offseason, the Rockets are now the 5th most expensive team heading into 2019-20 according to Sportrac. With a superstar duo of Westbrook and James Harden leading the way, the Rockets now hope that the money they have spent on this roster can catapult them to the NBA Finals.
The Rockets were the 12th most expensive team in 2018-19 so they spent some more money to make sure that they made the necessary improvements to their roster.
With the Golden State Warriors losing Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets and Klay Thompson expected to miss the majority of the season, now is the best chance for a Rockets team that has been oh so close to getting to the promised land. With the Warriors seemingly out of the way, now’s the time for Houston to strike.
