Rockets announce official roster to start 2019-20 training camp

The Houston Rockets on Friday officially announced their training camp roster for the 2019-20 NBA season.

With the recent signings of forwards Thabo Sefolosha and Jaron Blossomgame, as well as stretch big man Ryan Anderson, the Rockets now have the league’s maximum of 20 players in camp.

To make room for all three new signings and not exceed 20 players, Houston released rookie guard William McDowell-White. The complete roster can be seen below.

General manager Daryl Morey celebrated the return of Anderson, who previously played with the Rockets from 2016 through 2018, by posting a picture Friday morning of the 6-foot-10 forward signing his latest contract at Houston’s Toyota Center.

Official team activities begin with Friday’s Media Day interviews from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. local time at owner Tilman Fertitta‘s The Post Oak Hotel, followed by the opening of training camp on Saturday at Toyota Center.

Preseason play then begins on Monday, Sept. 30 with a home game against the Shanghai Sharks.

All 20 players on the roster are medically cleared for basketball activities, though starters Russell Westbrook and P.J. Tucker could be eased in and given limited time off early in camp as each continues to recover from offseason health issues.
