'Rocket' spotted being transported across Bristol

Road-users and passersby were left puzzled today after a rocket-shaped prop was transported across the city.

The large object was strapped up to the back of a lorry, which was spotted turning out of Day's Road in the Barton Hill area.

Unfortunately, this was not a real rocket and was in fact a prop that had been used in the outdoor drinking garden.

Outer Space was a pop-up alfresco drinking and dining area located on the harbourside that operated throughout the summer months.

However, after hosting numerous live events over the bank holiday weekend, the pop-up bar's stint has come to an end.

The past weekend has seen the likes of Byran Gee, Kosheen and Cut Capers all descend upon the bar to help give it a royal send-off.

It is not known where the rocket is now heading, but after spending every night since May at the beer garden, it's time to move on has now arrived.

Outer Space was located on Lloyds Amphitheatre and opened in April.
