FOR THE RECORD

April 13, 1:20 p.m.: An earlier version of this post said the property was a former Rock Hudson home. It was once owned by Hudson's ex-lover, Marc Christian MacGinnis.

The recently renovated Midcentury Modern two-story was created by commercial architect Lorand West in a circular shape so he could land a helicopter on the roof. The helipad is intact but West was unable to gain the necessary approvals for use.

A round double-sided fireplace echoes the design theme and creates a focal point in the living room. The kitchen was redone with stainless steel counters and appliances.

Dark wood floors, a motorized projection screen and a glass deck are among features in the master bedroom for a total of four bedrooms and four bathrooms. There are 3,287 square feet of living space.

Walls of glass take in views of the surrounding hillsides.

The terraced Zen-inspired backyard includes a saltwater swimming pool, an above-ground spa and a fire pit.

Hudson, who died in 1985 at 59, was a popular leading man and emerged as a sex symbol in the 1950s and 1960s. He starred in such films as "Giant" (1956), "Pillow Talk" (1959) and the 1970s series "McMillan Wife," among others.

Rodeo Realty agent Tom Otero has the listing.
