Rochelle Humes has banned talk of diets around her two young daughters.
The TV star thinks it is vital Alaia-Mai, six, and Valentina, two, grow up without worrying about their weight or thinking negatively about food.
She even told off her mum for breaking the rule recently.
Rochelle, 30, said: “She was like, ‘Oh I need to go on a diet before your birthday’. That’s fine to say to me, but I don’t like that around my girls.”
The ex-Saturdays singer said to steer her girls towards healthier eating she talks about their teeth. “I’ll be like, ‘Right, we need to eat this because we need to look after our teeth.’”

Rochelle, married to TV host Marvin, thinks her show Ninja Warrior is a positive influence as hopefuls try to conquer TV’s toughest obstacle course.
“My eldest loves it and so do all her friends,” she said. “They play it in the playground and I’m so proud that we’re inspiring fitness in children, particularly girls — we have some amazing women who come on the show.
“I’m like, ‘Wow, that’s a strong woman right in the thick of all the men’. A positive role model using their body to the best they can. I’ve seen a brilliant hashtag called ‘strong not skinny’, I totally love that.”
A new series of Ninja Warrior starts on ITV this Saturday at 6.30pm which Rochelle hosts alongside Ben Shephard and Chris Kamara.
