Rochelle and Marvin Humes 'buy two huge £40k guard dogs' after spate of celebrity break-ins

Rochelle and Marvin Humes have reportedly bought two £40,000 guard dogs to protect their home after a series of celebrity break-ins.

A slew of stars have been targeted in home robberies recently, including Geordie Shore’s Charlotte Crosby, whose £1 million Sunderland mansion was stormed by masked invaders with a machete in November.

Geordie Shore’s Chloe Ferry, Love Island star Davide Sanclimenti and EastEnders actress Jacqueline Jossa have also been affected by thieves in the past few years.

Former The Saturdays singer Rochelle, 36, and her JLS star husband Marvin, 40, are reportedly taking no chances with their safety and have enlisted the help of a firm that provides trained guard dogs to famous faces.

The couple - who share three children - have bought two black Cane Corsos that are being trained by Elite Protection Dogs, The Sun reported.

The London-based company shared a photo of the dogs being put through their paces in a gym space on their Instagram Story.

They tagged Rochelle and Marvin and captioned the snap: “Heavyweights in the gym.”

The Cane Corsos cost £20,000 each and are described as “family-friendly companions” who are “expertly trained for safety” and “adaptable to home environments,” according to the Elite Protection Dogs website.

The Standard has contacted Rochelle and Marvin’s representatives for comment.

The company has said of its dogs in the past: “All of our puppies come from military and police backgrounds with generations of experience in protecting borders, searching for missing persons and drugs, and sniffing for bombs in warzones.

"With all respect to other breeds, we intend to use two breeds of canine only as our cadets. These are the Belgian Shepherds (Malinois) and the German Shepherds.

"The military and police all around the world tend to choose these breeds as their first choice, as do we. These dogs have the highest IQ in the protection dog category."

The firm added: “We produce two types of trained dogs- a guard dog and a personal protection dog.

"Guard dogs are typically very independent and don’t need companionship as they are trained to guard a territory.

"They are taught to refuse food from strangers and react to intruders. Guard dogs are mainly suited for farms and gated areas.

"A personal protection dog is not only a family friendly pet but also a form of protection. They crave a family bond, affection and love and are very child friendly.

"They are dedicated to shield you, by demand, from any possible danger or threat as taught through intense training, mental stability and obedience. Prices start from £15,000."

This Morning presenter Rochelle and Marvin already have a six-year-old Cockapoo dog named Ginger which has its own Instagram account.

The couple aren’t the only ones reportedly taking the extra security measure, as Stormzy, Marcus Rashford, Raheem Sterling, James Madison, Jack Grealish and Jamie Vardy all now have guard dogs.

Last November, Charlotte Crosby, 34, and her fiance Jake Ankers' home was broken into while they were inside.

The star - who was heavily pregnant at the time - was upstairs with her two-year-old daughter Alba when a gang of balaclava-clad intruders broke into her home.

One of the attackers was reportedly armed with a machete, prompting her fiancé to confront the four intruders and chase them out of the property.
