Actor-couple Keith Sequeira and Rochelle Rao look forward to Easter every year. Keith recalls how Easter used to be all about his grandmother cooking Easter eggs at home for dessert. The couple plan to celebrate the day with their close friends.
Keith said, "I used to look forward to my grandmother making easter eggs at home. Now, we don't do such elaborate feasting at home. Rochelle goes out to buy some Easter eggs and cupcakes and then we invite a few close friends for an elaborate lunch. More than the feast, I value my time at the church."
Keith added, "While Christmas is a popular festival, people know about the traditions associated with it, but for us Easter is very important because the festival is about new life and rebirth. Besides having a nice lunch at home, I enjoy going to the church and connecting with God and offer my prayers. It is also about showing compassion and helping the less priveleged. I feel it is important that when you step out on the streets, you look at someone who is less priveleged and offer your services. Rochelle and I mostly contribute to an organisation of children, who are less priveleged."
Keith also shared how the day will also be about offering gratitude and prayers after the pandemic. He said, "The pandemic is over but the last two years have been tough on all. It is all about offering our prayers and showing our gratitude because it has been a difficult time for everyone."
