Robson Green makes surprise cameo in Sam Fender's music video along with Grantchester co-star

Robson Green is back on screen in a surprising new role as backing guitarist for Sam Fender in the North Shields' singer's latest music video.

Fresh from gathering big crowds on both Druridge Bay and in a Tyneside street to film the video for recent single Seventeen Going Under, Sam has been back in front of the camera to shoot Howdon Aldi Death Queue.

The song itself has been attracting quite a stir online thanks to it kicking off with the iconic "Get off the Metro now!!!!" line that will be familiar to many Geordies from a viral video filmed by a passenger on the famous transport network.

It was probably one of the most insane and fun things I’ve done in my life with one of my absolute favourite bands. Life is crazy eh. WATCH IT!"

Prior to the shoot, Sam, Robson and Tom headed out into the North Sea to do some dolphin spotting and fishing.

Tom shared highlights of their trip on his Instagram, writing: "What a day out - seeing some dolphins, going fishing for the first time in my life, and catching a pretty big one in the presence of a man who knows just a wee bit about fish…"
