Robroyston robbery: Terrified family’s home ransacked and car stolen by thief in surgical mask

Police are hunting a thief who raided a home in Robroyston and stole the family's car.

The break-in happened in Colintraive Crescent at 5.30am on Sunday, 11 April and personal items, along with a silver Suzuki Vitara were stolen.

Police Constable Paul Flynn of Easterhouse Police Station said the family were "unhurt" by the incident but "left very shaken."

He added: "We are keen to trace a man described as being 5'10 tall, wearing dark clothing, black trainers and a surgical face mask.

“The registration of the stolen Suzuki Vitara is SD19 WYP.

“I would appeal to anyone who was in the area and witnessed anything suspicious to come forward, or anyone who has private CCTV or dashcam footage to get in touch. You may have captured something that can assist our investigation.”

Anyone who has information that will assist this investigation is asked to contact Police Scotland via 101 quoting reference number 0958 of 11 April. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.
