Roborock is a brand well-versed in creating home robotic solutions that feel very futuristic. Earlier this year, it released four new robot vacuums, including one that can climb stairs, and we've recently tested the Roborock QV 35S, a self-emptying robot vacuum with obstacle avoidance. But right now, it's focused on expanding its outdoor offering with a new robot lawnmower that has a lot to offer.
The RockNeo Q110H combines a host of smart features, including AI-powered mapping, precise edge-cutting, awareness of real-world conditions and more into one pretty impressive looking product. Not forgetting to mention, it also looks like it has a little face. And it's available to buy now for $1299 at Amazon.
More about the Roborock RockNeo Q110H
The Roborock RockNeo Q110H joins a small line-up of robot lawnmowers for the company and, unsurprisingly, it's got a lot of the same technology built in. To get into the nitty-gritty of what's under the lid, we're talking "Sentisphere Environmental Perception" with "full-brand RTK and VSLAM navigation", "Stereo Vision Obstacle Avoidance", and an "optional PreciEdge cutting module."
To add a bit of color to those swanky feature titles, it basically means that the RockNeo Q110H assess real-world conditions to ensure it operates and understands the weather.
It'll also stick to dense tree cover and keep on course when navigating sharp corners and narrow passages.
The RockNeo Q110H also utilizes obstacle avoidance technology to adjust its path in real-time. So, if there's toys or garden items lying around, it'll move around them without halting its progress. For humans and animals, it'll also turn away to stay safe (for both parties). And the optional PreciEdge module is an additional extra for helping to navigate near-perfect finishes across your garden edges.
And while other lawnmowers in Roborock's range, namely the RockMow X1, use AI-powered mapping already, there's an over-the-air upgrade coming soon that aims to further reduce any hard manual setup.
While all these features are a great addition to the RockNeo Q110H, I'm a particularly big fan of the Roborock App.
A companion app that's actually good
In the app, you can manage multiple zones of your garden with their own unique schedules, you can also monitor how your lawnmower is getting on, as well as getting a predicted finishing time.
There's even a Wildlife-Friendly Mode that will pause the lawnmower during set hours so that it won't bother nocturnal animals like hedgehogs who are navigating your garden.
This is where the AI-powered mapping upgrade comes in, arriving via the app, making setup and personlization even more impressive. And while it's sold separately, you can also add in a 4G and Anti-Theft Module that'll sound an alarm if the mower is lifted or moved outside a preset fence, all of which can be tracked in the app.
A smart lawnmower and a decent accompanying app to boot.
