Robinson's Fruit Shoot juice bottles recalled from Tesco, Costco and McDonald's

The company behind Robinson's have issued a safety warning and recalled their Fruit Shoot Apple and Blackcurrent juice bottles from a number of retailers.

Britvic PLC, producers of the drink, have recalled a series of bottles from Tesco, Costco and McDonald's due to a safety risk with the packaging.

A small number of reports say that the spout within the sports bottle cap may become detached unexpectedly, which could cause a choking hazard.

The bottles sold in a multipack of 24 from Tesco and Costco have been recalled, and single bottles sold in McDonald's - between June 22 and 28.

The bottles sold separately at McDonald's (FSA)

The batch code for the drinks are NO5 L9164, NO5 L9171 and NO6 L9171 with a best before date of March 2020.

The Food Standards Agency advises customers to not drink from the bottles and instead dispose of the product safely.

Sale notices will be displayed in stores to warn customers about why the product is being recalled and what to do if they have bought the drink.

You can apply for a full refund via the Fruit Shoot Consumer Care line on 0114 223 44 88 or on their website.
