The ugly fall out from Friday night's grudge match is set to reach some resolution on Monday with Sydney Roosters coach Trent Robinson to be fined by the NRL for his post-match blow up.
A dramatic 54-12 loss to South Sydney has ignited a new chapter of hatred between the two foundation clubs with fullback Latrell Mitchell to miss the rest of the season for a reckless tackle that fractured Joey Manu's eye socket.
On Sunday night vision emerged of ex-Roosters star Mitchell in a confrontation with his former teammates on the sideline as he walked off the field after being sin-binned.
Although publicly available vision does not show who he was arguing with, reports from the ground suggest it was sidelined players Angus Crichton, Jared Waerea-Hargreaves and Victor Radley.
Waerea-Hargreaves is also now under investigation by the NRL's integrity unit for an alleged incident with a Nine Network cameraman, who was attempting to film Manu being taken into the tunnel with the horrific facial injury.
It's alleged the Roosters prop swiped at the camera he was holding to protect Manu from being filmed.
"The NRL is aware of the alleged incident and the integrity unit is investigating," an NRL spokesperson told AAP.
It's unknown if there is any footage of the alleged incident between Waerea-Hargreaves and the cameraman.
Regardless, the NRL is desperate to clean up at least some of the fallout from the game which dominated headlines across the weekend.
A determination of Robinson's fine is set to be made by boss Andrew Abdo before NRL's head of football Graham Annesley does his weekly briefing on Monday afternoon.
Robinson took aim at bunker official Henry Perenara in his post-match press conference, calling the whole situation a 'farce' and 'laughable' because of the delay to address Manu's injury.
Over the weekend Annesley was forced to admit NRL officials were wrong not to send Mitchell off for the tackle on Manu, for which the Souths superstar will now serve a six-week suspension.
Manu underwent facial reconstruction surgery in a Brisbane hospital on Saturday and despite suffering injuries similar to those seen in a car accident, was coping OK according to teammates.
"He's in good spirits, Joey is always relaxed and cool, calm and collected guy," said Roosters captain James Tedesco on Sunday.
"He was probably frustrated at the time but it's all positive vibes."
