Robinson Cano blasted a home run in his first Mets at-bat

New Mets superstar Robinson Cano had a perfect start to his new season, hitting a home run off three-time Cy Young winner Max Scherzer in his very first at-bat with his new club.

Cano hit 10 home runs last year during a season that was shortened by his 80-game suspension for PED use. He began the season with 311 career home runs, the second-most by second baseman in MLB history.

The Mets acquired Cano in a blockbuster December trade, sending Jay Bruce, Anthony Swarzak and three prospects to Seattle in exchange for Cano, Edwin Diaz and prospects, along with $20 million in cash.
