Robin Wright will speak out about her former House of Cards co-star Kevin Spacey for the first time since numerous allegations of sexual assault were made against him in a brand new television interview.
While other House of Cards stars including Michael Kelly and Joel Kinnaman have previously spoken out about the news, Wright had seemingly distanced herself from the accusations made by several men in the wake of the Me Too movement.
However, a new interview with Savannah Guthrie on the Today show in the US will see her address the subject of Spacey head on. In a brand new clip, Wright states she merely knew the Seven actor in a professional capacity only.
“Was there any kind of red flag, or anything that would have made you think this was possible?” Guthrie asks.
“Kevin and I knew each other between action and cut, and in between setups where we would giggle. I didn't really... I didn't know the man. I knew the incredible craftsman that he is.”
The star, who has played Claire Underwood in the series since 2013, has taken over lead duties on the Netflix drama following Spacey's firing for its sixth and final season.
Spacey's LA Confidential co-star Guy Pearce made a shocking admission last week on an Australian chat show by alleging he was “handsy” with him.
The actor was initially accused of misconduct by Anthony Rapp who alleges that the actor made sexual advances towards him as a 14-year-old when Spacey was 26.
Just last week, more accusers came forward with Met Police investigating three fresh allegations of misconduct in London between 1996 and 2013.
Other actors to have spoken candidly about Spacey's behaviour in the wake of the allegations include Benicio del Toro whom the actor appeared alongside in 1995 film The Usual Suspects.
