Robin van Persie hails Bruno Fernandes' performance for Manchester United vs Club Brugge

Manchester United favourite Robin van Persie has singled out Bruno Fernandes for praise following his performance in the draw against Cub Brugge in the Europa League.

The January signing came off the bench for the final nine minutes of the clash against the Belgian title-chasers and, despite his limited time on the field, caught the eye.

Since his arrival from Sporting Lisbon, Fernandes has shown the sort of creativity and prowess that United have lacked this season due to Paul Pogba's continued absence through injury.

The Portugal international pulled the strings in the victory over Chelsea in the Premier League on Monday and, after coming off the bench against Brugge, impressed once again.

That led to praise from Van Persie, who believes you can already see that he will be a great addition to Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's squad at Old Trafford.

"He was unbelievable and with top players you can tell straight away they have something to add, he's silky on the ball. He has that pass, he has a nice cross and shot, he's a joy to watch," he told BT Sport.

United will tackle Club Brugge again in seven days time in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford, with the draw for the Round of 16 the following day.
