Robin Koch sends Leeds United fans a fitness update after his knee surgery

Robin Koch has handed Leeds United fans a major boost off the back of three consecutive defeats with a rehab update.

The Germany international underwent surgery on his right knee to treat a meniscus injury in early December, with the hope to return to action in March.

After limping off in the early stages of the match at Chelsea, Koch has missed the last eight Whites matches, with the like of Luke Ayling and Pascal Struijk filling in for him, Liam Cooper and Diego Llorente.

Last night, six weeks after his surgery, Koch shared a new update through his Instagram page of the progress he is making.

While there were no footballs in sight, Koch did share images of himself wearing a Los Angeles Lakers jersey, lifting weights in a gym.

There was also a short clip of him on a static bicycle.

Based on the prognosis at the time of his surgery, Koch hopes to be at the halfway point of his rehabilitation programme with another six weeks to go.
