Robin Koch says he is just focussed on pre-season training following links to Leeds United.
The Whites have long been said to be interested in the Freiburg centre-back as they look to strengthen their defence this summer.
Transfer links to Koch have got stronger in the past few days, with Newcastle United also said to be monitoring his situation.
The 23-year-old is currently on a pre-season training camp in Austria with Freiburg.
Speaking to Kicker, he says he does not pay attention to rumours linking him with a move away from his club.
Yet he did not specifically rule out the prospect of a transfer.
He said: "I’m still here and I’m the type that I let all of this come my way and don’t worry too much about it.
"That’s why it all fits."
Koch has become one of the most highly-rated centre-backs in German football after impressing at Freiburg.
The German international made 32 Bundesliga appearances last season, leading to interest from a host of clubs.
With the Whites on the lookout for a right-footed centre-half to replace Ben White, Koch's ability with the ball marks him out as a player suited to Marcelo Bielsa's style of football.
He joined Freiburg from FC Kaiserslautern in 2017, having originally come through the youth-system at lower-league Eintracht Trier.
Yet Koch is not the only defender Leeds have been linked with.
The Whites were yesterday said to be willing to make an eye-catching £27m bid to bring in Brazilin defender Luiz Felipe from Lazio.
