Celebrating its 40th anniversary, the Robin Hood Mini Marathon is set to take place on September 26 this year and organisers are looking for entries for its annual t-shirt design competition.
Open to children aged 4 to 16, the winner's design will feature on the 2,000 t-shirts given to those who participate in the marathon. They will also receive a trophy, a sample t-shirt and 11 free entries into next year's race.
Race director Judith Manson said: “The Mini Marathon t-shirt competition really captures the imagination of children across Nottinghamshire, I love seeing the designs and every year it gets harder to shortlist.
“I take so much pride in this part of the race weekend, the enthusiasm and joy that beams out of the children and their parents.”
To be eligible, you must have entered the Robin Hood Mini Marathon in partnership with Ikano Bank on September 26, 2021. Standard entry to the mini-marathon will cost £14.50, which includes the winning design t-shirt, a medal and finish line goodies. To enter, all children have to do is draw their design on the entry form available on the Robin Hood Half Marathon website.
The mini-marathon is open to children of all abilities aged 4 to 17. Participants can walk, jog or run the route, with prizes being presented for the top 3 girls and boys, as well as school team honours awarded, across a range of categories.
All entries for the t-shirt design competition must be scanned and emailed to info@goldlineevents.co.uk. Entries sent by post will not be accepted.
The closing date for entries is May 21, after which the shortlist will be announced with the public voting for the winner.
