Robertson construction group hires Robert Ogg as director of frameworks

Construction group Robertson has hired Robert Ogg as its new national director of frameworks.

He moves from his post as Scotland infrastructure director for Morgan Sindall to provide strategic support, manage existing relationships and identify new opportunities.

Ogg, from Edinburgh, has worked in construction for more than 25 years, delivering major infrastructure projects and was previously framework director for Balfour Beatty.

Scott Wilson, Robertson ’s executive director of development, said: “Earning and retaining our place on major industry frameworks remains a key priority for Robertson as we continue to expand the business across the UK, so it’s important that we have Robert on board to provide strategic support.

“Robert’s experience will help shape our responses to framework bids, providing tactical advice and overarching guidance as well as evaluating and monitoring all current frameworks and ensuring regional teams work collaboratively both within the business and with potential partners.”

Robertson is one of the UK's largest independent infrastructure providers and in the lastvyear has take on high-profile projects including the Inverness Justice Centre, through Scape Group’s National Major Works framework, and projects with hub East Central Scotland and CLEAR Futures. It is building new hangars for Typhoon fighter jets at RAF Lossiemouth and Scottish Sea Farms hatchery at Oban.

The company leads the delivery of the Major Projects framework in Scotland and employs more than 3000 people UK wide.
