Roberto Firmino's wife makes Liverpool statement after frustrating Brazil draw

Roberto Firmino’s wife sent a strong message to Liverpool fans during Brazil’s Copa America match.

The Reds frontman suffered a frustrating draw against Venezuela on Tuesday night with both sides finishing goalless.

Firmino managed to find the back of the net in the 38th minute, but the goal was disallowed after he was said to have committed a foul in the process while the Brazilian was also judged offside by VAR after Manchester City's Gabriel Jesus scored from his layoff.

The 27-year-old then found himself at the centre of controversy once again after teammate Philippe Coutinho produced a winner in the 86th minute, only for VAR to wipe clean his efforts after a supposed handball from Firmino in the build-up.

But despite the team’s 0-0 result, Firmino’s wife, Larissa, was there to support him all the way and even had time to make a heartwarming gesture to Liverpool fans.

The fashion designer, who shares two daughters with the Brazil national, posted numerous pictures from the stands as she cheered on her husband.

Posing with friends and family, Brazilians could be seen in the background of her snaps wearing the country's Copa America kit.

But Larissa instead debuted her green Liverpool cap whilst her friend wore the Red’s away kit.

Over the course of the last season, the WAG has proven herself to be a true Liverpool fan, never failing to miss any home or away Champions League matches.

And fans were overjoyed by her sweet post following Liverpool's win in the Champions League final.

She said: "The reward of hard work, which involves a lot of pressure and deprivation, which requires discipline, commitment, focus and all this not only in the week preceding a match but in every league and even on vacation.

"This title comes to honour these boys and the technician they see struggling tirelessly comes to honour this INCREDIBLE CLUB and this FAITHFUL TWIST who always support them regardless of results.

"Thank God for allowing me to live this, for enabling my husband to be what he is today. May all GLORY be given to HIM because from him comes all."
