Liverpool forward Roberto Firmino has dismissed claims he sacrifices himself to allow team-mates Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane flourish.
The Brazilian, 30, has scored 34 Premier League goals since the start of the 2018-19 campaign - 39 fewer than Salah and 22 fewer than Mane.
When asked by Globo Esporte, Firmino said: "I don’t see it that way.
"Each one has a very well-defined role on the field, it’s a team that has been playing together for some time and we know each other very well.
"We play for each other for Liverpool, and that makes a difference."

Although he isn't as prolific as Salah and Mane, Firmino has still scored 93 goals in 301 games in all competitions since joining Liverpool from Hoffenheim in June 2015.
During that time, the 55-cap international has helped Jurgen Klopp's side win the Champions League, Premier League, Super Cup and Club World Cup.
Liverpool have made an unbeaten start to this season, winning six of their nine Premier League games to sit in second - one point behind leaders Chelsea.
They've also beaten Porto, AC Milan and Atletico Madrid in the Champions League and hammered Manchester United 5-0 last weekend.
Firmino believes the team's continuous success is down to Klopp motivating and improving players, including himself.
He added: "Besides being an excellent coach, Klopp is a sensational guy, with a huge heart.
"And I can say that, if I’m a better player today, it’s a lot thanks to him. We’ve known each other since German football and, here at Liverpool, we’ve been together for six years.
"Today, I feel comfortable playing in more than one position, I have more freedom to move and also help with marking."

Firmino has enjoyed a decent start to this season, scoring an excellent hat-trick against newly promoted Watford earlier this month.
Speaking about the player last week, Klopp said: "He’s a very important player for us, he’s a connector. He’s the best offensive defender I ever saw in my life, definitely.
"He’s a ball chaser, he’s incredibly smart with all the things he’s doing, technically on the highest level and is able to play in the smallest spaces.
"Can make incredibly good decisions in a really short [space of] time and on top of that scores goals as well... He’s a brilliant boy and a brilliant player. It’s really a joy to work together with him.
"The way we play it’s not impossible without him because we have options, which is good, but how we started playing years ago was because Bobby could play the role he played.
"He was very, very influential in all the things we did... Everybody loves Bobby, there is no doubt about it. How can you not?"
