Roberto Firmino missing from Liverpool training ahead of Wolves game

Roberto Firmino was absent from Liverpool training on Saturday ahead of the Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Monday.

Firmino has spent time on the sidelines following a knee injury with Diogo Jota starting the last two games against Fulham and RB Leipzig.

The game against Wolves is Liverpool's last before the international break and Klopp refused to rule Firmino out of contention during his pre-match press conference on Saturday.

He said: "We will see. Bobby was not with us and couldn't play. But now we have had a few more days.

"We have the medical meeting actually after the press conference - sorry! They will give me more information about that. We will see. Two more days. Hopefully."

Firmino wasn't pictured with his Liverpool teammates at the AXA Training Centre ahead of the game against Wolves, suggesting the medical meeting that Klopp alluded to in his presser may have ruled him out of contention for Monday's fixture at Molineux.

No other players were missing from the session with Ozan Kabak, Nat Phillips and Ben Davies all involved.

January signing Davies is yet to make his debut for the club and Klopp shed light on his situation on Merseyside during his presser.

"Ben Davies had a test to adapt, it was always clear - a lot of players came here to Liverpool and the most famous story is maybe Andy Robertson.

"It took him half a year in a normal season to settle in.

"Ben is a really good player but he has to get used to all the stuff here as well.

"What we have now is options and hopefully it will stay like this."
