Per The Athletic’s Jay King, Boston Celtics rookie center Robert William III will be a game-time decision against the Philadelphia 76ers. Williams has been dealing with lower back soreness for the past week and played two minutes against the Los Angeles Clippers in the Celtics’ last game.
Though possible, it seem unlikely that Williams would play anything but a minor role unless there was an injury to center Daniel Theis. Williams has played in just one of Boston’s last eight games after playing 13 minutes in the Celtics blowout win over the Cleveland Cavaliers on January 23.
