Robert Snodgrass set for Celtic loan deal as West Ham star looks for first team football

Celtic have made a loan move for Robert Snodgrass.

Neil Lennon is trying to land the former Scotland cap from West Ham United.

Sources in London expect a deal to be finalised before tomorrow’s deadline.

The 33-year-old has been on the the fringes under Davie Moyes and wants regular first-team football.

Snodgrass has been linked with Celtic numerous times but this could be the moment it could finally come off.

The former Scotland international has been away from Premiership football since he left Livingston in 2008.

Since then he has had successful spells at Leeds, Hull and Norwich before moving to the Hammers for a reported £10million fee.

After just six months at the London Stadium he was frozen out of the team, with the Scot sent out on loan to Aston Villa.

He returned to West Ham to re-establish himself but has yet to make a Premier League appearance so far this season.

Celtic have already done business with the Premier League side this summer, signing Albion Ajeti for £5 million.
