Robert Snodgrass hits out on Twitter at 'sloppy' report over abusing anti-doping officials

West Ham star Robert Snodgrass has hit out at Sky Sports following a story on their website regarding his FA charge for swearing at anti-doping officials.

The incident occurred back in February when officials visited the club's Rush Green training base to conduct out-of-competition testing.

Snodgrass was not scheduled to be tested, nor did he refuse to be tested during the visit, yet he was charged by the FA for abusive behaviour towards the officials.

He was accused by two officials of asking: "Have you c**** got nothing to do better to do?" in an "aggressive tone" when the players had left a team meeting.

The 31-year-old received a one-match ban and was fined £30,000 after he was found guilty of misconduct.

In written reasons now published by the FA, it has been revealed that the player thought it was a joke and suggested that Andy Carroll was to blame when confronted about the allegations.

Sky Sports published a story on Wednesday evening about Snodgrass' FA Charge and the Scotland international was far from happy about what they had reported.

He tweeted: "Sky your (sic) looking for a bite...... I ain’t giving you it! The way you wrote this is sloppy and isn’t the truth.

"The season must be finished and clutching for stories.... disappointing! Think I might cancel my sports channels now."
