San Francisco 49ers defensive coordinator Robert Saleh is one of the top names on the head coaching market. He already has interviews either finished or lined up with four teams, and according to NFL Media’s Tom Pelissero, Saleh can now add the New York Jets to his list.
Saleh on Thursday completed an interview with the Detroit Lions the team announced. He finished an interview with the Falcons on Monday. The Jaguars, Chargers and Jets are the other three clubs remaining. The Houston Texans are the only team with a head coaching vacancy that hasn’t reached out to Saleh, but that could change now that general manager Nick Caserio has been hired.
Each team comes with its pros and cons, and given Saleh’s popularity, he may wind up with a choice of where he wants to kick off his head coaching career.
