Robert Saleh broke out a perfectly timed celebration with Quincy Williams and fans thought it was awesome

The New York Jets had plenty of reasons to get excited about Sunday’s Week 6 win over the Philadelphia Eagles. Of course, they handed the defending NFC champs their first loss of the season. But the Jets defense especially did an incredible job to hold the Eagles to 14 points and force four turnovers.

That kind of energy from the defense even had head coach Robert Saleh getting in on the celebrations.

The uppercut celebration has grown into Jets linebacker Quincy Williams’ go-to celly since he joined the league in 2019. He said he drew inspiration from the video game Street Fighter and has been going to that celebration after big plays ever since.

So, after Williams stopped DeVonta Smith short of the sticks on third down, Saleh knew what was coming and timed it up perfectly.

Saleh was so in sync with Williams on the celebration that it almost looked like the two had planned it ahead of time. Saleh was ready, and Williams approved.

Jets fans also loved seeing that excitement from their head coach on the sidelines. Not every team can say the same.
