Robert Reid: East Lothian police race to find missing pensioner amid concerns over welfare

Officers in East Lothian are today are appealing for the public's assistance in tracing a pensioner who has been reported missing from Port Seton.

Missing 73-year-old Robert Reid was last seen in the North Seton Park area around 9.45am on Friday, May 7.

He is described as medium build, 6 ft tall and has a grey beard with balding grey hair.

When last seen, he was wearing jeans, a red t-shirt, a black fleece body warmer and a black coat. He had black shoes on and was wearing a black fleece hat.

Inspector David Hughes said: "We are growing increasingly concerned for Robert's welfare and want to trace him to ensure he is safe and well.

"Anyone who has seen Robert or has any information on his whereabouts is asked to contact police on 101, quoting reference number 4164 of 7 May."
